Visits to Presidential Sites

                                                                   7th President 1829-1837 Andrew Jackson sites visited: South Carolina claims the site of Jackson's birth, as does North Carolina. South Carolina created a state park that holds a small museum, a Jackson-on-horseback statue, and a marker for Jackson's mother, who was buried in an unmarked grave. A painting in the Georgia State Capitol. Jackson is also featured in the Tennessee State Capitol. The "Pride of Tennessee" painting includes three presidents, Polk, Jackson, and Andrew Johnson. He also has a bust, a painting, and a prominent statue outside of the Capitol.
