William Jefferson Clinton ~ August 19, 1946 -
42nd President, 1993-2001
On a trip south in 2024, we spotted a highway sign advertising Clinton's birth home in Hope, Arkansas, so we took a quick detour.
We toured the Capitol and saw his picture hanging along with other previous Governors. We drove past the Governor's mansion that has a Clinton statue in the front yard. When I got out of the car to take this photo, a guard drove up to the gate to see what I was doing 😁
Sims Bar-B-Que in Little Rock was recommended to us and, not surprisingly, they have a photo of Clinton hanging on the wall.
On our way to the Clinton Presidential Library and Museum we walked past the Old State House, which is now a museum.
They have some fun Clinton memorabilia.
Our main purpose for going to Little Rock was to visit the Clinton Museum, and the building is very impressive.
The museum is chock full of items and this is just a sample.

Photo taken because we're from Michigan 😉
Recreation of Friends set.
Our favorite parts of the museum were the movie about Clinton's life and the oval office.
You have to pay for this photo but it was worth it 😊
Before we left, one of the volunteers pointed out where the Clintons will be buried, on the grounds behind the museum.
Clinton was the first "baby boomer" president and was president when the first White House website was set up.
We saw his official Presidential portrait on a previous tour of the White House.
Bill was born William Jefferson Blythe III and his father died three months before Bill was born. His mother married Roger Clinton in 1950 and Bill legally adopted his surname in 1962.
Here is one bit of presidential trivia: Clinton is one of eight presidents who were/are left-handed. (Garfield, Hoover, Truman, Ford, Reagan, HW Bush, and Obama are the others.)
I own one piece of Clinton memorabilia that was gifted to me by a very conservative friend, back in the day when it was more common that conservatives and liberals could be friends. Yup, it runs backwards 😊
The Grand Rapids Public Museum (in President Ford's hometown) has a photo of Clinton in the museum, honoring his recognition of the Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians and the Little River Band of Ottawa Indians in 1994.
